About This Case:

Three families have retained RATHOD | MOHAMEDBHAI LLC to represent them concerning the mistreatment their children endured from a bus aide employed by Littleton Public Schools. The affected children, all with severe autism and non-verbal communication, relied on caregivers for their basic needs.

These students traveled daily on a specialized school bus operated by Littleton Public Schools, shuttling them between home and the Joshua School. Over the past six months, they suffered unimaginable abuse at the hands of an LPS bus aide. Due to their inability to communicate verbally, the victims couldn’t disclose the abuse they endured.

Video footage from March 18, 2024, captured the reprehensible actions of the bus aide, who repeatedly struck, punched, and stomped on one of the children. These senseless attacks on defenseless, severely disabled individuals are appalling. Unfortunately, available information suggests that the abuse began prior to March 18, 2024, with documented injuries dating back to September 2023.

The circumstances surrounding this abuse serve as a grim reminder of the potential for some individuals to commit heinous acts against the most innocent and vulnerable members of society. It underscores the importance of not solely relying on the school system to ensure the safety of autistic children entrusted to their care during transportation to school.
